The primary job responsibilities of this position involve teaching courses in beginning intermediate and advanced French at the undergraduate level. However it is likely that the candidate will need to also teach additional courses outside of French language courses to maintain a full schedule. The candidate should have an interest in program development and should be willing to recruit advise and mentor students.

McNeese is a regional school with two graduate programs and many opportunities for committee work so faculty must be versatile and supportive. Standard teaching load is 4/4 if the hired candidate holds a terminal degree.

The position requires an individual to teach 12 hours per semester in a physical classroom hold face-to-face office hours (10 hours per week) attend departmental and university meetings attend commencements and perform other duties to foster the department.
