Responsibilities
The Treatment Registered Nurse (Treatment Nurse) is responsible for providing specialized care to residents in a skilled nursing setting focusing on skin treatments wound care injury management and specific treatment procedures. This role will assess and monitor facility residents skin and effectively coordinate and provide treatments for skin conditions in collaboration with the physician and interdisciplinary team. The Treatment Nurse takes the lead in developing resident care plans related to skin needs and plays a pivotal role in promoting healing preventing infection and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
1 year of nursing experience
Experience with wound care preferred
Long-term care nursing experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)
Wound Care Certification preferred
