Kitchen Assistant
Hours: 10 hours per week (term time only)
Salary: 12.70 Per Hour
Are you enthusiastic reliable and passionate about contributing to a positive and welcoming environment Catch 22 are working with an Education Establishment in Leeds and are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity to play an important role in the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen while developing valuable skills in a school setting.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant you will support the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served safely efficiently and to a high standard. Your role will help create a positive dining experience for pupils and staff alike.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen
- Washing up cleaning equipment and sanitising work areas
- Supporting compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
- Assisting with stock control deliveries and storage of supplies
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Carrying out additional duties as required by management
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
- Is reliable punctual and able to work independently when required
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean safe and organised environment
- Has a basic understanding of food hygiene and safety (training provided)
- Is eligible to work in the UK and able to pass a DBS check
Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
