Werelooking for a passionate and proactiveFlood and Coastal Risk Management Officerto join ourPartnerships and Strategic Overview (PSO) Team. In this dynamic and rewarding roleyoullhelp better protect people property and places across East Anglia from the impacts of the opportunity to make a real difference-not just in how we manage flood risk today but in how we prepare for tomorrow.
In this varied role you will:
- Use flood risk data and modelling to inform planning decisions.
- Develop a good understanding of relevant issues and use this information to influence Local Plans to ensure flood resilience is built into future development.
- Evaluate flood risk assessments andprovideexpert advice.
- Assess flood risk activity permit applications and their potential impacts.
- Providespecialist advice and support to customers internally and externally.
- Ensure information is recorded accurately is up to date and readily accessible to support team activities. This may involve the use of specialised systems and databases
- Take part in incident response when flooding occurs.
