About the opportunity
The Project Manager Change2Teaching Program plays a key role across the School in supporting a Commonwealth-supported pilot for an apprenticeship-style model of Initial Teacher Education due to be trialled from 2027 in partnership with the Tasmanian Department of Education Children and Young People (DECYP). In this role you will project manage the Change2Teaching initiative and provide high-quality administrative support to the Academic Lead and team in their work with key stakeholders DECYP school leaders and Change2Teaching participants.
What youll do:
- Project manage the Change2Teaching program and work with the Academic Lead on other connected strategic projects.
- Foster external relationships and contribute to the delivery of our existing network of partnerships and projects.
- Maintain the operational budgets for the Change2Teaching program.
- Manage operational risks; ensuring compliance with University policies legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Streamline engagement to ensure communication documentation and processes are clear coordinated and easily navigated.

- Strong project management skills the ability to design and deliver projects within specified timeframes and budgets.
- Proven capability in managing projects including engagement of stakeholders and the ability to navigate complex issues to find strategic solutions.
- Excellent communication representation and interpersonal skills particularly within a tertiary education environment.
- Ability to work with agility in a high paced environment while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated organisational prioritisation and judgement skills; and ability to work independently with sound discretion.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130943 comprising base salary within the range of $101821 to $111917 plus 17% superannuation.
