Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac ICU
Location: Elmhurst NY
Assignment Length: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day/Night Rotation
Hours: 12.5-hour shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Pay Rate: $60$68/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role is ideal for a critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced high-acuity environment and is experienced in managing complex cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiac ICU patients
Monitor patient conditions closely and respond promptly to changes
Perform and manage IV insertions and phlebotomy
Administer and monitor conscious sedation safely
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies
Ensure adherence to patient safety and quality care standards
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) experience
Strong proficiency in:
IV insertion
Phlebotomy
Conscious sedation
Ability to work effectively in high-acuity cardiac care settings
Education & Certifications
Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
AHA BLS Required
AHA ACLS Required
Demonstrated hands-on experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy
