We are seeking a Technical Project Manager based on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead key technical projects in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will take end-to-end ownership of technical areas deliver high-quality outcomes while working closely with diverse teams and partners.
The role includes creating clear project plans managing milestones resources and budgets and partnering with senior leaders to ensure strong governance and transparent reporting.
Everyday responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain clear achievable project plans with agreed milestones dependencies and key technical stages such as testing deployment and external security testing aligned to the wider programme.
- Establish effective ways of working across the project encouraging open communication clarity of roles (including maintaining a RACI) and strong collaboration between teams.
- Track delivery progress against agreed plans proactively highlighting risks or changes and working with others to resolve issues and keep delivery on track.
- Manage risks and issues in line with PMO guidance developing and supporting mitigation plans and keeping senior project and programme leaders informed of progress.
- Support strong governance and informed decision-making by reporting progress preparing option appraisals and ensuring compliance with relevant internal standards regulations and cybersecurity and data requirements.
- Manage project budgets and suppliers contribute to business cases and actively participate in the Delivery Chapter to share best practice and support the wider delivery community.
Skills and experience for success:
- Proven experience in technical project management including effective planning risk and issue management and knowing when to escalate to keep delivery on track.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work confidently across both technical and non-technical teams and create an environment of clarity and collaboration.
- Experience managing stakeholders at different levels building trusted relationships and supporting informed decision making.
- Good commercial and financial awareness with experience managing budgets forecasts and delivery within agreed constraints.
- Ability to translate technical requirements and challenges into clear accessible language for non-technical audiences enabling shared understanding and progress.
Desirable skills:
- Comfortable working with a variety of technologies including DevSecOps in hybrid agile environments with strong experience in either Kanban or Scrum and familiarity with the other.
- Holds relevant Project Management certification and applies best practices confidently to deliver successful projects.
- Experience delivering projects in healthcare or government settings understanding the unique challenges and requirements of these environments.
- Adaptable and collaborative thriving in cross-functional teams and contributing to continuous improvement and effective ways of working.
Qualifications :
Whilst Project Management certifications are desirable we are mostly interested in your experience.

We have a blended working model for this role you will be required on-site once per week in our Canary Wharf office.
