Job Description

The division is currently comprised of 15 active full time faculty members: 9 adult cardiac surgeons 4 general thoracic surgeons and 2 running an active research laboratory. Additionally 2 Emeritus Professors participate in teaching conferences and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will be board eligible/certified and have had comprehensive training and skills in the full spectrum of adult cardiovascular surgery. Interest and expertise in cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support is addition to playing a key role in the MUSC Heart & Vascular Center the candidate will also actively participate in the cardiac surgery program at the Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center.

Successful candidates will demonstrate promise in the tripartite mission of academic surgery: clinical care teaching and research.
