Job Summary
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Inpatient)
Location: Elmhurst NY 11373
Job Type: Contract (Local or Travel)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule & Hours
Shift: Evening Shift
Hours: 3:30 PM 12:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 37.5 (7.5 hours/day 5 days/week)
Weekend Requirement: Every weekend
Days Off: Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday
Training: First 2 weeks 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (includes EPIC training)
Pay Rate
Local: $30/hour
Travel: $34/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Pharmacy Technician (Inpatient)for an exciting job in Elmhurst NY.
Key Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications
Receive return deliver and restock medications carts and pharmacy supplies
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
Operate pharmacy equipment and support automated dispensing systems
Rotate assignments and shifts based on departmental needs
Perform duties across inpatient units including ED and Psychiatry
Ensure adherence to federal state and local pharmacy regulations
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
Licensed Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
Primary Source Verification of license and registration from NYSED
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work rotating assignments and schedules
Preferred Qualifications
Inpatient pharmacy dispensing experience
Sterile processing experience
IV room experience
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
