Job Summary

The Senior Operational Excellence Engineer is critical role in the Global Operational Excellence and Programme Management this position you will play a critical role in the significant expansion of the Ballina manufacturing site supporting the sites multi-year growth ambitions through deployment of key lean manufacturing operating principles across the entire workflow. improvement plans.

 

In addition this role will collaborate with a variety of leadership and front-line staff to ensure development maturation of existing OE methodologies as working with other Global OE Team members in defining and implementing a new organisation wide operating model focussed on embedding organisational excellence across the Diagnostics and Genomics Division.

 

Finally the role will develop and provide training to a range of individuals and will leading workshops in various Lean systems including Daily Management System (DMS) Leader Standard Work (LSW) A3/Root Cause Problem Solving and other relevant systems as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Roll out Operational Excellence across the business Daily Management System Problem Solving Leader Standard Work Value Stream Mapping
  • Training and coaching all levels of business in improvement methodologies with emphasis on Lean/Shingo
  • Training and coaching of KPIs/Metrics/OKRs
  • Development of training materials for effective roll out of Lean / Shingo methodologies
  • Strategic Planning: Development and roll-out of new LGC Operational Excellent Model
  • Coaching and development of local Operational Excellence Champions (non-OE professionals).

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering field
  • 10 years or more of Process Improvement / Operational Excellence / Lean experience
  • Must have extensive experience with improvement methodologies (Lean/TPS Shingo SS ToC TPM)
  • Able to lead through influence; strong change management skills
  • Strong coaching and training skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate good professional judgement and reliability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills to drive successful relationship building
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with experience or ability to effectively report and track sales metrics
  • Demonstrated good professional judgment and reliability
