About the Role
Main responsibilities:
- Coordination and delivery of EIARs AA Screening & Natura Impact Statements and other environmental and planning reports for multi-disciplinary projects.
- Taking ownership of projects from inception to completion and providing regular project updates to the environment team director and clients.
- Contribute to early-stage constraints mapping and environmental inputs to option selection and design development.
- Providing technical environmental input to projects including design data collection and analysis.
- Management of the interaction with multi-disciplinary project teams sub-consultants clients and stakeholders
- Review EIAR chapters for technical quality completeness and compliance with EIA legislation and guidance
- Coordination of projects day-to-day including fee proposal invoicing delivering on client expectations and preparation and review of documents.
- Motivating mentoring and guiding junior members of the team.
- Assisting in developing and consolidating client relationships and networks and keep up to date with developments and innovations within the environmental sectors.
- Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and prepare specifications for third party services for projects.
- Representing the company at client meetings public consultations and regulatory hearings.
- Liaising with County Councils An Bord Pleanála (An Coimisiún Pleanála) and other statutory bodies as required.
- Draft responses to statutory queries RFIs and public submissions
Qualifications :
Suitable Candidates will have:
- Minimum of 8 years experience working in the environmental engineering / environmental sector / environmental consultancy.
- Qualification (Level 8) in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Science/ or a closely related discipline. Masters qualified in a relevant specialism preferred but not essential.
- Professions Membership of relevant professional body (CIEEM IEMA etc) Chartered Environmentalist is preferred.
- Expertise in leading the delivery of EIA/EIAR and managing multidisciplinary teams on large infrastructure projects is essential.
- Experience as a technical lead in a discipline related to EIA an advantage e.g. ecology noise or air quality.
- Experience leading public consultation and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation policy and practice is essential.
- Excellent project management skills an ability to prioritise projects balancing client expectations available staff resources and project deadlines.

- Youll be self-motivated organised and capable of working on your own initiative
- Youll have a high standard of attention to detail excellent report writing and strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- We thrive on strong communication; youll bring strong interpersonal skills to work as part of a team. Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office ArcGIS/QGIS.
- A good understanding of Health Safety and Environmental management.
