Job Summary
ALTEN is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical lightingmodernisation programme within the aerospace sector. This role oversees a contracting partner responsible for removing legacy lighting systems and installing new LED technology across operational aerospace facilities.
- Location: Broughton
- On Site: 4x a week
- Clearance: Not required
- Experience Level: Mid Level
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the endtoend delivery of a facility lighting upgrade project.
- Oversee contractor performance communication and accountability.
- Coordinate project planning cost impacts risks and progress reporting.
- Lead onsite activities during the launch phase including routine meetings and stakeholder engagement.
- Track and report project benefits upon completion.
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments (safetycritical or regulated settings).
- Proven background managing engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong supplier and contract management capability.
- Confident communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.
- Ability to work remotely during planning phases and lead effectively onsite during execution.
- Strong organisational and deliveryfocused mindset.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Background in electrical facilities or lightingrelated upgrades.
- Familiarity with structured governance or gated project frameworks.
- Consultancy or clientfacing engineering experience.
