Design Manager (mfd) Data Centre Construction

Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Germany we are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join our Data Centre team in Frankfurt

Responsibility:

• Overseeing the design process ensuring client requirements are met technically and economically
• Ensuring compliance with international standards local building codes and industry best practices
• Coordinating between disciplines (Architecture Electrical Mechanical/MEP) and managing stakeholder communication
• Identifying and mitigating design-related risks including supply chain and technical planning issues
• Collaborating with the project management team on budget control and schedule management
• Staying informed of emerging data centre technologies and recommending innovative solutions
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships translating their needs into design requirements

Qualifications :

• University degree in Construction Management or related field with minimum 5 years experience in design management
• Experience with Data Centre projects are preferred 
• Solid knowledge of Structural Civil Plumbing Mechanical Electrical and Low Voltage scopes of work
• Advanced proficiency in relevant software and reporting tools
• Strong communication and organisational skills with ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team
• Self-motivated professional with willingness to support other groups and projects when required
• Fluent language skills in German and English
