Job Summary

The General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada Advanced Vetronics Systems team has a requirement for a Project Engineering Student to support multiple programs in the Vetronics product area. The successful candidate for this position will contribute directly to the design and implementation of our family of Smart Display products.

A project engineering student will function as an assistant to a Project Engineer. This will include planning activities coordinating with multidisciplinary teams gathering metrics reporting managing supply chain issues conducting technical investigations and dealing with unplanned issues that arise during product development.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in electronics design embedded software and engineering management.


Qualifications :

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree program in an Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience or Interest in / Exposure to:
    • Tools: JIRA Gitlab (git and CI/CD) Confluence Collaborator DOORs
    • Software/hardware integration and test
    • MIL-STD S/W and H/W development environments and processes
    • Working in a team environment with systems software and hardware engineering peers
  • Innovative and a self-starter with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.


Additional Information :

Compensation 
The expected hourly rate for this position is $23.08 $32.41. Final compensation will be determined based on your relevant work experience to date. As part of student placement you will be eligible for quarterly pay increases.
