Job Summary

I. Purpose

The Solution Analyst plays a key role in advancing ASHAs technology strategy by working with teams across the organization to understand business needs identify opportunities to streamline processes enhance member experiences and support data-driven decision-making. From high-level business goals the analyst translates complex information into clear technical requirements and partners with cross-functional teams to implement scalable effective solutions that align technology with emerging opportunities and organizational impact.

II. Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with business stakeholders and digital product managers to gather and translate high-level business needs into clear functional requirements for development teams and vendors.
  2. Analyze current and future business processes to identify opportunities for process improvement risk mitigation and technology innovation.
  3. Contribute to identifying evaluating selecting and implementing third-party technology products and services
  4. Facilitate clear timely communication across teams to manage dependencies and ensure project success.
  5. Collaborate with business stakeholders to and maintain and prioritize backlogs of opportunities for continuous improvement to existing systems
  6. Design and document comprehensive test scenarios to validate solutions ensuring alignment with requirements data security and industry best practices.
  7. Contribute to the administration of IS work management software including developing SOPs for workspace and content management supporting design and implementation teams enhancing integrations with external stakeholders and tools and providing organizational visibility into the IS operational portfolio.

IV. Autonomy & Decision Making:

  • The Director of Business Systems Analysis will assign your projects or tasks providing broad objectives and initial constraints. They will offer guidance and remove obstacles as needed to maintain momentum or redirect your focus to emerging priorities. Your progress on key projects will be monitored by the CIO and tracked by portfolio managers in the Office of Business Excellence (OBE).
  • Beyond this you will operate independently without daily oversight using your judgment in collaboration with business stakeholders software developers user experience designers digital product experts and project managers to plan organize and execute the tasks necessary for project success.
  • Throughout your work you will be expected to use pre-established tools for communication collaboration and knowledge management including Jira Confluence Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

V. Qualifications & Skills

a. Knowledge typically acquired through:

  • 5 years experience in roles such as Business Analyst Product Manager/Owner Scrum Master Agile Coach or technology program leadership with demonstrated ability to engage early with stakeholders frame solutions within the broader enterprise context and guide the successful delivery of digital products and services.
  • Active certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Project Management Institute (PMI) or a comparable credentialing body or equivalent demonstrated expertise in business analysis product management or technology solution delivery.
  • A bachelors degree or equivalent in related discipline(s): computer information and data sciences product and project management business administration.

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment using Agile methods to deliver solutions rapidly and iteratively extending their capabilities and value.
  • Advanced collaboration skills adapting communication styles to elicit clear detailed input from diverse stakeholders on cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills synthesizing large volumes of information to identify essential needs maximize value mitigate risk and minimize cost.
  • Resilience and adaptability with the willingness to challenge assumptions consider alternative perspectives and pivot quickly as new information emerges.
  • Proficiency with modern work management tools such as Jira Confluence Azure DevOps or comparable work management tools.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals including implementation testing source control deployment and support.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and function to support and enable successful technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and document comprehensive test scenarios to validate that delivered solutions meet enterprise requirements align with documented business objectives and ensure readiness for secure reliable and user-friendly deployment.
