Position Description
Under broad supervision the Pay Equity Project Manager will oversee and manage the various Pay Equity project within the Harris County Human Resources Division. The individual in this role will collaborate with multiple HR teams vendors and other key stakeholders to define project objectives develop project plans allocate resources and monitor project addition they will ensure that projects are delivered on time within budget and meet quality standards.
The Pay Equity Project Manager is expected to have strong project management skills HR knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Management:Manages complex Pay Equity projects and vendors from inception through completion ensuring they are delivered on time within scope and within budget by definingprojectscopegoalsanddeliverablesthatsupportbusinessgoalsincollaborationwith senior management and stakeholders and are compliant with Harris County policies and procedures as wells as with federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Planning and Execution:Develops full-scale short-term and long-term project plans and associated communications documents coordinates and manages project tasks and deliverables ensuring resource availability and allocation and tracks project milestones and deliverables while providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Risk Management:Identifiesandmanagesprojectrisksandissuesdevelopscontingencyplans as necessary and conducts project debriefings to formalize reports that identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Budget Management:Develops and manages project budgets ensuring project expenditures arealignedwiththeapprovedbudgetandmonitorsandreportsonprojectfinancialsaddressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Collaboration and Communication:Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
