We are seeking a dependable customer-focused Part-Time Thrift Store or Gift Shop Associate with previous experience in a non-profit merchandising charitable organization or volunteer-driven environment.About the Role
This position supports the daily operations of our thrift store and plays a key role in helping us further our mission in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers providing a positive welcoming shopping experience
- Receive sort and organize donated items
- Maintain clean organized and visually appealing merchandise displays
- Support volunteers working on the sales floor or in the back room
- Operate the cash register and process sales accurately (if applicable)
- Assist with general store upkeep and daily operational tasks
- Uphold the organizations mission and represent our values in all interactions
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience in a non-profit thrift store or volunteer environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort working in a fast-paced ever-changing retail environment
- Reliability integrity and a commitment to missionfocused work
- Flexible availability including some weekends or peak donation periods
