Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform final mechanical and receiving inspections to ensure conformance to engineering prints and specifications

  • Utilize standard mechanical instruments CMM data functional gauges test fixtures and electronic diagnostic tools for data collection

  • Follow manufacturing plans and inspection procedures to accurately report product status

  • Document and process turn-backs and properly identify segregate and record nonconforming material

  • Prepare and complete documentation for variable test data SPC reporting and detailed inspection plans

  • Exercise sound judgment in identifying critical components and managing inspection documentation

  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) submittals assist with PPAP data inputs and conduct delegated source inspections per customer contract

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in receiving inspections using mechanical and electrical instruments gauges fixtures and CMM outputs

  • Strong math aptitude and organizational skills

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5

  • Understand customer purchase orders and flow-down requirements

  • Interpret and analyze SPC data; perform Gage R&R studies

  • Accurately report product status and analyze trends using computer software

  • Prepare and maintain electronic inspection documentation and reports

  • Conduct process/product audits and apply sampling plans per customer specifications

  • Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes including heat treat plating welding and NDT

  • Understanding of root cause corrective action and problem-solving methodologies

  • Must hold Customer Delegated Source Status and Delegated Product Release Certificate (AS13001 & AS9117)

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with semiconductor and/or aerospace products and assemblies preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision correctable to 20/30

  • Must pass color blindness test for visual inspections
