Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform final mechanical and receiving inspections to ensure conformance to engineering prints and specifications
Utilize standard mechanical instruments CMM data functional gauges test fixtures and electronic diagnostic tools for data collection
Follow manufacturing plans and inspection procedures to accurately report product status
Document and process turn-backs and properly identify segregate and record nonconforming material
Prepare and complete documentation for variable test data SPC reporting and detailed inspection plans
Exercise sound judgment in identifying critical components and managing inspection documentation
Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) submittals assist with PPAP data inputs and conduct delegated source inspections per customer contract
Required Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in receiving inspections using mechanical and electrical instruments gauges fixtures and CMM outputs
Strong math aptitude and organizational skills
Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5
Understand customer purchase orders and flow-down requirements
Interpret and analyze SPC data; perform Gage R&R studies
Accurately report product status and analyze trends using computer software
Prepare and maintain electronic inspection documentation and reports
Conduct process/product audits and apply sampling plans per customer specifications
Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes including heat treat plating welding and NDT
Understanding of root cause corrective action and problem-solving methodologies
Must hold Customer Delegated Source Status and Delegated Product Release Certificate (AS13001 & AS9117)
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with semiconductor and/or aerospace products and assemblies preferred
