Job Summary

Night Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician (Heavy Machinery / Shredder Systems)

Shift: Night Shift 5:30 PM 3:30 AM (Flexible 10-hour shifts)

We are seeking a highly skilled Night Shift Maintenance Technician to protect and maintain a $7.5M SSI industrial e-waste shredding system. This is not a general maintenance rolethis position owns equipment uptime asset protection and rapid breakdown response during night operations.

Downtime equals lost revenue. This role prevents it.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain maximum uptime of large industrial shredder systems
Troubleshoot and repair heavy mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems
Perform preventative maintenance to prevent catastrophic equipment failure
Diagnose issues related to bearings motors shafts gearboxes cutter stacks hydraulics and drives
Troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems panels sensors and safety circuits
Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
Respond immediately to breakdowns and perform root cause analysis
Document repairs and communicate with Night Operations leadership
Enforce strict lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures

Required Qualifications

7 years of industrial maintenance experience (heavy machinery required)
Experience with industrial shredders or similar heavy-duty equipment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems (pumps valves cylinders)
Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems
Welding and fabrication experience required
Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
Comfortable working night shift independently

Physical Requirements

Lift 75 lbs
Work in a loud high-output industrial environment
Perform hands-on repairs on large production equipment
