Job Summary

Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital

We are seeking a highly experienced visionary Women and Newborn Services Manager to lead our dedicated team across the Womens Health Unit including our newly redeveloped 30bed Postnatal Ward 4 modern Birth Suites and 9cot Level 3 Special Care Nursery.

This is an exceptional opportunity to guide a dynamic and expanding service shaping highquality compassionate care for mothers babies and families. As a key clinical and operational leader you will oversee all aspects of the Women and Babies portfolio driving excellence in patient safety clinical quality caregiver wellbeing patient experience and sustainable service performance.

The Position

  • Monitors analyses and reports on variances in data and activity related to clinical outcomes for the Service and uses this data to support the implementation of innovation and change.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Service operational plan to align with SJGHC and SJG Geelong Strategic and Operational Plans.

  • Contributes to the development of models of care which place the patient at the center of planning decision making and evaluation for the specialty grouping.

  • Leads a consistent person-centered care culture within the Service where all patient encounters influence a memorable patient experience.

  • Analyses data with a focus on identifying trends in order to create solutions to improve the patient experience.

  • Leads the development of quality improvement activities and ensures Services and practices align with the requirements of the NSQHS Standards.

  • Leads innovation within the Service to advance clinical excellence and patient experience outcomes.

  • Provide leadership through effective personal professional communication and interpersonal capabilities and change management as well as team and strategic capabilities as outlined in the SJGHC Leadership Profile

You are a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse/Midwife with current AHPRA registration and bring a minimum of four years nursing management experience. Your senior expertise enables you to drive highquality outcomes lead teams with confidence and deliver operational excellence within an acute healthcare setting.

To succeed you will u will bring welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills supported by a solid understanding of the legislation and standards that govern nursing practice. Your previous leadership experience will demonstrate your ability to communicate with impact influence effectively and build productive collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $141601 per annum per annum plus 12% superannuation

  • Permanent full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday day shift: 0700 to 1506
