Role: Freelance Creative
Engagement Type: 1099 with 90-day project potential to extend
Timing: Kick off in March ideally
Location: Richmond VA
Experience: 2-3 years minimum with cross-channel hands on creative execution
Primary Focus: Creative execution across social email in-store signage and light site updates
Elevate creative quality
Increase speed and consistency
Reduce internal bottlenecks
Support multiple concurrent campaigns
This is an execution-first role. Strategy messaging decisions and channel prioritization remain internal.
Core Responsibilities
Primary (Must-Have)
- Instagram creative (static posts Reels)
- Lightweight video editing for Reels
- Stay abreast of social trends and best practices for content ideation
- Participate in ideation for campaigns and to improve creative performance
- Email visual assets built in Paytronix
- In-store promo signage creative
- Light website promo updates
- Iteration based on consolidated feedback
- Delivery of final publish-ready assets
AI-Enabled Creative Production
AI is a core tool within this role and is expected to be used to accelerate creative production.
- Integrate into internal workflows leverage AI assisted content creation leveraging Claude Notion Canva etc)
- AI may be used for concepting layout variations and production efficiency
- Final outputs must reflect strong human judgment and brand fluency
- AI-generated work is a starting point not the finish line
Ways of Working
- Weekly creative briefings (long term shift to bi-weekly or monthly)
- Consolidated feedback provided by internal team
- Publish-ready assets delivered by creative
- Leveraging Canva Adobe and AI-enabled workflows
Expected Time Commitment
- 20 hours per week
- Ability to attend team meetings 2-3x per week during core hours M-F 9A-3P
- Creative work can be completed outside of those hours as long as deliverables are met
- Ability to visit stores and production facility in Scotts Addition to shoot content
Cost Range
- Start with $50-$90 hourly range dependent upon experience
