Job Summary

Overview

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm every other weekend & rotating holidays.

The Cook plays a key role in preparing fresh high-quality meals including entrées vegetables soups cereals sauces and fried items. Responsibilities also include proper food handling and storage maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace and ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed. The goal is to provide meals that are appealing nutritious and safe for every customer.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook hot food items while supporting the kitchen team to ensure meals are served on time.
  • Follow recipes and safety guidelines to deliver tasty attractive and safe meals every shift.
  • Keep food and equipment handled safely clean and well-maintained.
  • Record temperatures monitor quality and report any concerns to your lead or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with teammates provide feedback and contribute to a positive goal-driven kitchen culture.
  • Prioritize safety compliance and a smooth operation in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Two years cooking or food service experience and the ability to perform at the cooks level within six months in this position.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Serve Safe Certification is within 6 months after hire.
  • Valid Drivers License.
