About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College Brisbane is seeking a skilled Library Technician to support the Secondary Library. This role includes managing library collections supporting teaching and learning and delivering exceptional service to students staff and the College community.

Reporting to the Head of Secondary Library Services you will foster a culture of reading learning and resource accessibility while contributing to innovative library programs and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative student-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain library collections ensuring resources are current relevant and accessible.
  • Support teaching and learning by providing access to physical and digital resources.
  • Deliver exceptional service to students staff and parents as an excellent communicator and trusted partner between students and teachers.
  • Promote literacy and engagement through creative displays events and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright legislation and library management standards.

Selection Criteria

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Library Services or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage library resources efficiently and maintain well-organised spaces.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships with students and staff.
  • Strong knowledge of childrens and young adult literature to support literacy programs and evaluate academic resources.
