Career Opportunity: Senior Carrier Sales Manager

The Role
We are seeking a seasoned high-impact leader to serve as a Senior Carrier Sales Manager for a dynamic tech-forward logistics organization. This is a critical leadership position responsible for driving sales excellence fostering talent development and overseeing the carrier sales team. You will be the architect of the carrier network strategy ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with overarching performance objectives.
Critical Responsibilities & Duties
Leadership & Development: Lead training efforts for the carrier sales team to ensure staff are equipped to meet high industry standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Network Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to optimize carrier network performance implementing best practices to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
Relationship Management: Establish and maintain high-level relationships with key carrier and logistics partners to reduce costs and meet evolving customer demands.
Performance Analytics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as margin volume carrier compliance and bounce percentage to the executive team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales Customer Success and Operations teams to design capacity solutions and ensure seamless transportation workflows.
Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of current market trends seasonality and industry updates to drive informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7 years in the freight industry or brokerage with at least 4 years specifically in a carrier sales people-management role with a proven track record of success.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Operations or a related field (preferred).
Technical Skills: Expertise in industry-standard Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics tools (e.g. Highway Carrier411 Trucker Tools).
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation ability exceptional verbal and written communication and the proven capacity to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of transportation trends logistics best practices and emerging supply chain technologies.
