Global Sourcing Category Manager Responsibilities and Key Activities: Understand business requirements; manage stakeholders and their expectations Understand and drive understanding of supplier technology roadmaps global supply market and benchmarking against other industries/solutions Identify global sourcing opportunities and risks Translate business requirements and market understanding into cross-functional category plans (in cooperation with other category managers (e.g. KTO etc.) Develop communicate and ensure execution of sourcing category plans Represent KSO in cross-functional category team Act as cross-functional link/facilitator to Sourcing and as cross-category link/facilitator within sourcing Lead global supplier negotiations Develop global implementation plans and drive implementation Collaborate with unit sourcing to implement category plans and support realization of unit sourcing plans Act as Contract owner for nominated contracts according to supplier Segmentation principle Manage chronic and escalated local supplier issues; escalate further to CMs/Head of DM-NPR as needed Maintain and follow-up supplier risk assessment and manage supplier risk incl. 2nd source strategies Manage the development of category savings and KPIs and support measurement where needed Ensure execution of KONE Sourcing strategy and targets in category Steer supplier segmentation within Category Ensure Supplier development and roadmap planning in Category Manage the sourcing budget within the category Leadership/People Management: Lead coach involve and develop sourcing category teams members ensure proper level of training Drive people performance management in units through examples Follow-up proper level of delegation on decision making in units Manage the sourcing budget within the category Maintain successor and substitute planning in category team Ensure KONE WAY alignment of category roles organizational setup and staffing
