About the Role
As a Cyber Security Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding HBFs technology landscape. Working within the Technology & Cyber division youll design secure architectures guide strategic adoption of security frameworks and ensure our solutions remain resilient against evolving threats. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise security strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust future-proof solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Design and oversee secure architecture solutions aligned with organisational needs and industry best practices.
Lead security reviews and develop Secure by Design principles for projects and technology initiatives.
Drive adoption and integration of Microsoft 365 security technologies including Defender Sentinel and Purview.
Conduct threat modelling risk analysis and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and cyber threats to continuously enhance security architecture capability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate security requirements into actionable designs and technical artefacts.

This is a permanent full-time position open to candidates based in Perth Sydney or Brisbane.

About You
You are a strategic thinker with deep expertise in cyber security architecture and a passion for designing secure scalable solutions. You thrive in complex environments can translate technical requirements into practical designs and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust security outcomes.

Ideally you will have:

Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security IT Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience (4 years in a large organisation).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security architecture and cloud security technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Experience with IAM/PAM/IGA architecture.
Proven experience in security frameworks (e.g. NIST CIS APRA CPS234 CPS230 ISO PCI DSS NIST) and embedding controls into enterprise environments.
Proficiency in threat modelling risk analysis and vulnerability assessment.
Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively influencing senior stakeholders and driving security culture across the organisation.
Certifications such as CISSP SABSA TOGAF Azure/AWS Security Specialty or equivalent (desirable).
Highly self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
