The Cardiology Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Cardiology Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative operational and customer support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment. You will report to the Clinical Administrator. We consider this a virtual role.Job Responsibilities
You will perform clinical tasks including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. Additionally performs medication and vaccine administration phlebotomy and collects specimens. Perform diagnostic screening tests sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms. Document information into the electronic medical records system.
You will collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
You will deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
Works within broad guidelines.
Requirements
Certified or Registered
3 years MA experience
1 year of Cardiology experience
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
CPR Certified
We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role we will require you to screen for TB.
Other
1 years MA experience in PCO center
Phlebotomy experience
Medication/vaccine administration experience
Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS CPT/ICD coding and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Work-At-Home Requirements

At minimum a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California Illinois Montana or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
