Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Helper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in assisting with the maintenance and repair of our facility ensuring that everything runs smoothly and safely. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility and equipment operate smoothly.
- Help with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical electrical and plumbing issues under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining the grounds including landscaping and snow removal when necessary.
- Support the execution of preventive maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance.
- Assist in the installation and assembly of new equipment or furniture as directed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks completed including materials and time spent on each task.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in maintenance work or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC or general handyman skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively in a team environment.
