Position: Shift Manager.

Shift: 2:30PM-11:00PM.

Whats the Short Version

The Distribution Center (DC) Shift Manager is responsible for the execution of strategic building objectives and oversees the tactical execution of daily and weekly operations. They are responsible for all aspects of their assigned shifts operations including: planning organizing and monitoring the receiving storage and shipping to ensure a smooth and consistent operation. The Shift Manager hires manages and motivates assigned staff in the Distribution Center.

What Will You Be Doing

• Responsible for maximizing customer experience through the coordination of processes and operations across the DC.
• Monitors the quality quantity and efficiency of the movement of product including labor planning and balancing.
• Monitors the shipping from the DC to ensure the products are distributed to the proper transportation channels in an accurate and timely manner.
• Conducts annual performance reviews and provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions) ensure effective collaboration across all functions.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of operations.

What Are We Looking For

• Bachelors Degree Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
• 1-3 years Supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong conflict management skills
• Ability to manage difficult employee situations in a professional manner
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-directed and motivated
• Able to work both independently and as a team member
• Ability to build strong positive rapport with associates in a team environment; ability to lead through personal example that communicates integrity core values and consistency in decision-making

Whats Our Offer

Bonus: Youll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: Youll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect

DC Warehouse (Equipment): While performing the duties of this job the employee is constantly required to stand walk talk and hear. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. The employee operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands as well as full range of motion of the neck head and back. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms grasp and perform repetitive hand wrist and arm motions. Theemployee is frequently required to climb stairs kneel/squat bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears. Employee will be required to wear Personal protective equipment such as a Protective harness while operating equipment. Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts pallet jacks mechanized systems etc. Work environment is hectic and employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
