CommissionerChlorinator (Water)

Throughout 2025 OCU Group has been experiencing a sustained period of growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector. Due to this and our continued work winning success we currently have an opportunity for a Commissioner/Chlorinator to join us out of Bridgend or Deeside.

Youll be responsible for carrying out essential clean water mains activities including chlorination pressure testing sampling flushing swabbing and de-chlorination. All work must be completed in full compliance with Water Regulations Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing accurate and timely documentation

• Checking maintaining and safely operating equipment

• Working closely with site teams supervisors and contractors

• Supporting additional operational tasks as required

• Keeping a clean and hygienic work space.

About You

Strong understanding of hydraulic pressure & Chlorination equipment essential.

Previous experience in mains laying and service connections is preferred.

• Training in mains disinfection and sample collection preferred

Working knowledge of small and large diameter systems

Youll need:

• A full valid UK driving licence

• A positive can-do attitude and a strong team ethic

• The confidence to work independently when required

• A clear commitment to safe working practices

• Excellent hygiene practices

Attention to detail is essential as the role involves following set processes and delivering consistently high-quality results.

Ideally youll already hold relevant industry certifications such as:

• EUSR Water Hygiene card

• SHEA Water certification

• EUSR Pressure Testing and Chlorination
