Position: Full-Time Elementary Teacher (First Grade)

St. Thomas More Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled first grade elementary teacher to join our faculty. We are looking for candidates whose personal relationship with Jesus Christ guides their life and who joyfully uphold and model the teachings values and morals of the Catholic Church. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who collaborates well with colleagues communicates effectively with families and is committed to the academic excellence and spiritual formation of every student.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the curriculum of the Archdiocese of Denver.

Integrate Catholic values virtues and faith formation into daily teaching and classroom life.

Create a positive structured and engaging learning environment that promotes spiritual growth and academic success.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles and individual student needs.

Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with administration grade-level partners and support staff to ensure a cohesive and robust educational experience.

Maintain clear consistent communication with families rooted in professionalism and respect.

Participate actively in school-wide events liturgies professional development and community-building activities.

Demonstrate strong classroom management rooted in dignity respect and the development of virtue.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree (education or related field required).

Current Colorado state teaching license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.

Be a fully initiated Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church able to model and witness the faith authentically.

Prior classroom teaching experience preferred.

Successful completion of background check and Safe Environment Training.
