Paralegal-Legal Department-Mount Sinai Hospital-Full Time-Days
Position Summary:
The Paralegal performs legal research analyzes legal opinions and/or prepares legal documents. Drafts affidavits contracts and other legal documents and reviews documents and ensures the confidentiality of privileged materials and information.
Responsibilities- Assist in-house counsel with managing the contract management system while adhering to institutional policies including but not limited to:
ofacilitating the archiving of contracts in the contract management software;
otraining end-users and providing technical and operational support;
oproviding contract analytics and reporting as requested utilizing the contracts management software. - Collaborate with business owners and various responsible departments within the health system to ensure that contracts are reviewed and stored securely in accordance with the institutions contracts policy including but not limited to:
oworking with various departments to understand their current state of contract management;
oresponding to inquiries regarding routing of contracts to appropriate departments;
omaintaining the list of authorized signatories and ensuring that contracts are executed in accordance with the institutions signatory policy. - Maintain legal files including corporate and institutional documents for organizational entities and perform various corporate filings with applicable state agencies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in paralegal studies from an accredited school of paralegal training. Bachelors degree preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Two years in a legal office IT or related field with contract management experience preferred
