Job Description:
The Multi-Strategy Investing platform (MSI) was launched in 2011 and is the teams flagship commingled fund. MSIs mandate is flexible across the capital structure investing in equities preferred converts bonds loans and structured investments. The team can execute on both private and public opportunities across geographies or industries.
The MSI team is able to leverage BXMAs hedge fund manager relationships the broader Blackstone network (including Real Estate Private Equity Credit and Strategic Partners) and the teams direct relationships to source attractive investment opportunities. The team seeks an Investment Analyst to support the funds fundamentally driven investment process.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting fundamental analysis on multiple companies across sectors at a dynamic pace
Evaluating and valuing potential investments in close coordination with the broader investment team
Monitoring existing investments by working with the investment team to maintain company models and updating position-level investment scenarios and risk/reward expectations
Some equity trading responsibilities may be required
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills the successful candidate should have:
2 years of equity research investment banking and/or public equities investing experience
Strong understanding of accounting and financial modeling
Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong ability to form professional relationships
A demonstrated ability to write effectively
Desire to invest in highly dynamic public markets
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment
