ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: - Assuming responsibility for the effective and professional performance of collection functions including:
- Using effective human relations skills in a difficult situation
- Determining reasons for delinquency and working toward permanent solutions
- Repossessions foreclosures bankruptcies and charge-offs.
- Assuming responsibility for the efficient administration of collection activities
- Ensuring that professional business relationships are established and maintained with Credit Union members.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - High school education or equivalent education is required
- Five plus years of similar or related experience.
- Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Act and state and federal laws concerning collection activities.
- Thorough knowledge of collection procedures skip tracing and related laws and regulations.
- Thorough understanding of Credit Union loan products and policies.
- Knowledge of all loan contract terms and agreements.
- Familiar with deposit programs account ownership and casualty insurance.
- Thorough understanding of all court systems (Small Claims Circuit District Bankruptcy).
- Complete knowledge of equity calculations priority of liens and redemption rights.
