Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
Location: Reno NV
Schedule: 4x10 Evening/Swing Shift (with flexibility to cover occasional graveyard shifts as needed)
Position Summary We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our laboratory team in Reno NV. The CLS will perform a wide range of complex laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease. This role primarily supports the evening/swing shift and requires flexibility to assist with graveyard coverage when necessary.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing in assigned departments (e.g. Chemistry Hematology Microbiology Blood Bank Immunology).

Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through proper quality control and quality assurance procedures.

Operate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.

Review verify and report laboratory results in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards.

Follow all laboratory safety infection control and compliance guidelines.

Assist with training and mentoring of laboratory staff as needed.

Communicate effectively with laboratory leadership clinicians and other healthcare staff.

Provide coverage for graveyard shifts when required to support operational needs.
Required Qualifications -
Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.

Current CLS/MLS certification (ASCP or equivalent).

Active state licensure (if required by Nevada).

Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical rotations considered).

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications -
Experience working evening or night shifts.

Multi-department laboratory experience.

Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
Work Environment -
Hospital or clinical laboratory setting.

Requires standing for extended periods and handling biological specimens.
