We are seeking an experienced and passionate Veterinairian to join our well-established compassionate team. Located in the beautiful Hilton Head Island SC we pride ourselves on providing high-quality compassionate care to small animals in a friendly supportive environment. We are looking for a veterinarian who is committed to excellent patient care client education and teamwork in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical care for a variety of small animal patients including diagnostics treatment and preventative care (vaccinations wellness exams and routine checkups).
- Surgical Expertise: Perform surgeries such as spays neuters dental procedures and other soft tissue surgeries ensuring safety and positive outcomes for patients.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Utilize diagnostic tools such as radiology lab work and ultrasounds to diagnose and treat animals effectively.
- Client Communication: Educate pet owners on their pets health needs treatment options and preventive care. Build lasting relationships with clients by providing compassionate clear and timely communication.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians assistants and other team members to provide excellent patient care. Foster a positive cooperative work environment.
- Emergency Care: Manage emergency cases and provide immediate care in critical situations ensuring the well-being of both the patient and the pet owner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients in accordance with practice policies and regulations.
- Professional Development: Stay current on veterinary medicine trends techniques and best practices through continuing education and self-study.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in South Carolina (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience preferred though new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Expertise in small animal medicine surgery and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to handle a wide range of medical surgical and emergency cases.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate positive and professional attitude toward pets and clients.
