Description of Work
Individuals in this class perform conventional responsible work on board U.S. Coast Guard certified vessels. Assessment of work is accomplished under the supervision of the Able-Bodied Seaman and Ferry Master on the basis of safety in relation to the directing loading and unloading of passengers and vehicles off and on the ferries. Other duties include the maintenance of deck electrical/mechanical equipment and passenger facilities. Employee is responsible for enforcing safety and security regulations as outlined by the U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Employees may perform shore duties and all other duties as assigned.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC01 - $31200 - $46991
