Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior ISO 9001 Auditor to work as a freelance consultant ensuring compliance with international quality management standards (ISO 9001) within manufacturing operations in Calli Colombia. The Auditor will play a critical role in evaluating processes identifying non-conformities and recommending improvements to enhance organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Audits: Perform internal and/or external audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards focusing on manufacturing quality systems documentation and operational practices.
• Review Documentation: Evaluate quality management system (QMS) records including process flowcharts control plans corrective action reports and calibration records.
• Identify Gaps & Recommend Solutions: Pinpoint areas of non-compliance conduct root cause analysis and propose actionable improvements to strengthen quality frameworks.
• Report Findings: Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing observations audit outcomes and recommendations for top management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with manufacturing quality assurance and management teams to address audit findings and ensure timely resolution of non-conformities.
• Provide Training: Support internal or external training sessions on ISO 9001 principles audit methodologies and best practices for quality management.
• Stay Updated: Maintain knowledge of evolving ISO standards industry regulations and manufacturing technologies relevant to the audit scope.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related field. MBA or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in quality management and auditing with a focus on manufacturing industries (e.g. automotive food processing electronics).
• Certifications:
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Lead implementer.
  • Prior certification as a QMS auditor (e.g. IRCA Exemplar Global) is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 standards audit techniques and risk-based thinking.
  • Familiarity with audit software (e.g. ERP systems QMS platforms) and Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
• Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse team dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate findings effectively to all stakeholders.
