Job Description

Senior Backend Engineer (GoLang) -AWS

9 month contract hybrid onsite

Richmond VA or McLean VA - LOCALS ONLY

This is a business-as-usual backend engineering role focused on modernizing systems within a cyber technology environment. The engineer will work primarily in Go (Golang) building and supporting backend services in AWS.

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang) - primary and required language
AWS experience specifically:
- IAM
- Lambda
- Step Functions
- API Gateway
- CloudFormation
Backend development experience in a cloud-native environment
Strong communication skills (daily collaboration via Slack)

Nice-to-Have Skills

TypeScript / JavaScript
Experience supporting or contributing to modernization efforts
