Job Summary

POSITION	AWS Cloud Architect
LOCATION	Dallas TX On site 5 days per week. No exceptions.
INTERVIEW TYPE	1^st round video 2^nd round onsite Candidates must be willing to spend 3 4 hours onsite for final interviews.
REQUIRED SKILLS	Core Responsibilities (All Roles) Design build and deploy secure scalable AWS cloud platforms used by multiple business units. Deliver high impact cloud modernization aligned to the firms 2030 datacenter exit mandate. Build reusable enterprise grade infrastructure components using AWS CDK. Implement bank grade cloud security across IAM KMS data protection logging/detection network security and infra hardening. Drive platform adoption across 10 20 internal teams (MAP multiplier effect). Work autonomously with minimal oversight; operate as senior contributors from Day 1. Interface directly with Core Engineerings architects technical leads and security leadership. Participate in on site meetings whiteboarding sessions and design reviews in Dallas. Required Technical Skills (Must Have) AWS Expertise Deep/Advanced 15 years overall IT experience - at least 10 15 years of cloud engineering (AWS preferred) Extensive hands on work with: EC2 VPC Subnets SGs Lambda Glue Step Functions S3 DynamoDB RDS CloudWatch / CloudTrail / GuardDuty KMS IAM Secrets Manager AWS CDK Mandatory Candidates must be fluent in AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK): Build IaC for complex multi account environments Create reusable patterns and modules Deploy secure platform components at scale Support multi team adoption through CDK abstractions Cloud Security (Bank Grade) Mandatory Must demonstrate deep knowledge of the four pillars: Identity & Access Management (IAM) Infrastructure Protection Data Protection Detection/Logging Examples the manager mentioned: IAM roles policies permission boundaries KMS envelope encryption S3 bucket policies / VPC endpoint policies Private subnet patterns / NAT patterns Security group hardening Multi account access controls Audit/compliance automation Security is the #1 priority. Candidates without enterprise/banking level security experience will not be considered. AI/ML Platform Engineering (Preferred) Experience integrating AI/ML workloads into AWS cloud platforms Exposure to generative AI ML Ops SageMaker or AI acceleration patterns Additional Required Skills Must have built cloud platforms used by multiple development teams Strong architectural thinking and documentation skills Ability to own deliverables end to end with no hand holding Experience operating inside highly regulated environments Excellent communicator; strong stakeholder management Soft Skills / Behaviors Operates independently and takes ownership Senior presence - able to speak to architects and executives Strong problem solver and decision maker Comfortable in high pressure financial environments Ability to mentor engineers (even though this is NOT a junior supporting role) Candidate Must Be A TRUE senior level cloud expert Able to own projects independently Comfortable working inside a large regulated financial org Capable of delivering high impact solutions quickly
