Job Summary
PT Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Primary Care
The Kidz Docs a well-established pediatric practice in Northern Virginia is looking for a part-time (3d/wk) nurse practitioner or PA to join our group of 6 doctors and one nurse practitioner. A pediatric nurse practitioner or a nurse practitioner or PA with pediatric experience is preferred. Paid vacation CME and benefits offered. Working hours include Wed 12p-7p Thurs 8:30a-5p and Fri 8:30a-5p. Military family members welcome to apply. Interested candidates please send cover letter and CV to
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine wellness exams developmental screenings and immunizations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
- Educate families on child development nutrition and disease prevention.
- Prescribe medications treatments and therapies within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a specialization in Pediatrics.
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with pediatric experience.
- Active state RN and APRN license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate evidence-based and patient-centered care.
