Job Summary
You will play a key role in shaping the Schools vibrant Junior School music programme by:
- Delivering dynamic developmentally appropriate classroom music lessons.
- Designing and implementing a rich music curriculum informed by Kodály and Orff methodologies aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme and Australian Curriculum The Arts (Music).
- Creating meaningful performance opportunities and contributing musically to school events and collaborative projects.
- Using authentic assessment practices and maintaining open communication with families about student progress.
- Providing strong pastoral care while fostering a joyful respectful learning environment.
- Proven knowledge and application of Kodály and Orff pedagogies.
- Strong digital skills to enhance learning communication and organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative teamfocused approach.
- A genuine commitment to professional growth and participation in the wider School community.
- Early Childhood and/or Primary Teaching qualifications.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Evidence of meeting AITSL Proficient Teacher Standards.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis Management Accreditation.
