Job Summary

Accounts Receivable Assistant Manager - Maternity Leave FTC

Job Description:

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant Manager supports the endtoend OrdertoCash cycle ensuring accurate billing timely collections and strong cash application and reconciliation processes.

Key responsibilities

Billing & revenue assurance

  • Prepare and send client invoices and monthly statements accurately and on time ensuring compliance with contract terms tax rules and internal policies.

  • Resolve client billing queries swiftly coordinating with Sales/Client Service and project teams to issue credits/rebills where required.

  • Maintain billing schedules and supporting documentation for audit readiness.

Credit control & collections

  • Proactively chase and reduce aged debt through structured contact strategies and negotiation escalating risks early.

  • Manage dispute logs rootcause analysis and remediation plans to prevent repeat issues.

Cash application banking & GL

  • Allocate bank transactions daily to customer accounts with a high degree of accuracy clearing unapplied cash promptly.

  • Perform timely month end bank reconciliations and investigate variances.

  • Prepare and post journals with appropriate approvals and documentation.

Credit insurance & risk

  • Oversee credit insurance management (limits coverage requests renewals and claims) partnering with the broker/insurer and Commercial teams.

  • Monitor customer credit limits and recommend changes based on payment trends and risk assessments.

Qualifications & experience

  • Partqualified accountant or equivalent AR experience.

  • 2 years Accounts Receivable experience

  • Solid grounding in invoicing statements collections ageddebt management bank reconciliations journal posting and cash allocation.

  • Exposure to credit insurance administration and claims advantageous.

  • Strong Excel skills (lookups pivot tables reconciliations)

  • Understanding of revenue/billing controls and VAT/indirect tax basics

  • High attention to detail; strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Working pattern & flexibility

  • Hybrid working (2 days in office 3 from home)
