JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
Underclose supervisionlearn the proper techniques to sew foam design and upholster high quality aircraft seats trimpanelsand carpetsfor the completion of VIP aircraft.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepareall upholstered surfaces for foam and covering using various hand tools according toComluxapproved procedures. Cleans glue off panels and strips materials from parts.
Learn to perform basic sewing modifications to seat coverscurtains and miscellaneous items using sewing machine glue gun and other hand tools.
Within90 daysyou mustbe able to interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure installed interiorsmeetthe design spec quality standards and customer expectations.
Learn to request material needs timely to ensure a continuous workflow.
Within90 daysyou must be able to adhere to all regulatory documentationregardingpropersign offs. Aswell as be able to ensure paperwork iscomplied withand completedtimelyin accordance withtheComluxRSQM and other quality standards.
Followall department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
Basic knowledge of company installation procedures process specs IOPs etc.
Other duties as assigned but not covered herein.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE LICENSES ETC:
High School Diploma or GED.Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
Basicknowledge of the Upholstery process as it specifically relates to thecorporateaviation industry in acompletionsenvironment.
Ability to read write speak and understand the English language.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basicknowledge andwillingness to learnall aspects of theUpholsteryprocess.
Willingness to obtain knowledge of the RSQM and FAA requirements as it relates toUpholstery Installation.
Working knowledge of computers andrelated software utilized by Comlux.
