Are you detail-oriented organized and passionate about keeping the repair process moving smoothly Hunter Auto Group is looking for a Body Shop Parts Specialist to be the backbone of our collision center operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving managing logistics and playing a key role in getting our customers back on the road safely!
As our Body Shop Parts Specialist youll be instrumental in managing inventory sourcing high-quality parts and ensuring our technicians have exactly what they need to deliver exceptional repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the body shop technicians to ensure timely availability of parts.
- Review repair orders to determine necessary parts and materials for repairs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excess.
- Source and purchase parts from suppliers as needed ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Manage returns and exchanges of parts as required.
- Track and manage parts receipts and deliveries.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues regarding parts orders or availability.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized parts room.
- Process warranty claims and handle parts warranty issues.
- Assist body shop technicians with parts identification and installation.
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience in automotive parts or a collision center environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive terminology body components and repair processes
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle a fast-paced shop environment
- Proficiency with inventory systems (experience with DealerTrack Reynolds & Reynolds or similar DMS is a plus)
- High attention to detail to ensure part accuracy and order precision
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-first mindset
- Physical ability to lift and move automotive parts and supplies as needed
- A proactive can-do attitude with a genuine passion for automotive excellence
