DescriptionWIYY-98 Rock in Baltimore a Hearst station is seeking a part-time On-Air Radio Announcer. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Rock music strong local Baltimore awareness and the ability to connect with a rock radio audience in a compelling informative and entertaining way. This role will serve as a fill-in personality for weekday shows and cover regular holiday and weekend shifts. This position reports to the Program Director. The hourly rate is $23.08$24.23 depending on experience per the SAG-AFTRA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver concise engaging on-air content tailored to a rock radio audience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of rock music and Baltimore-area news events and culture to support locally focused breaks.
- Create and publish show-related content across stations social media platforms to extend audience engagement.
- Onsite role based in -person attendance required
Requirements:
Prior on-air radio experience preferred
Flexible availability including weekdays as needed and regular holiday/weekend shifts Airchecks/demo reel or other audio samples preferred
Related military experience considered.
This position is covered by a SAG-AFTRA collective bargaining agreement; membership/eligibility required.
