Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Regional Field Engineerof Escalatorsto provide technical support and guidance to all field associates.
Essential Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilityis toprovide technical support to the field and lead and train field associatesonnon-Otisescalator equipment.
- Ensure that all field personnelcomply withsafe work practicesin accordance withEH&S standards
- Thoroughly investigate and resolve all critical customer problems with the use of Otis products
- Interface with internal and external customers andidentifysolutions and provide consultations as needed
- Monitor field tests first inspections and data reportsof escalators
- Consult with maintenance / repair superintendents constructors adjusters and other managersregardingproblemsencounteredwith product performance
- Proactivelyofferassistancetothe regionregardingthe malfunctioning ofnon-Otisescalator equipment
Education / Certifications
- High school degreerequired;Bachelorsdegree preferred
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years relevant technical elevator experiencerequired
- Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
- Candidates mustdemonstratestrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.
- Travel 5%
- Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
- Successful candidate should bevery comfortablein a technical environmentutilizingMicrosoft based computer software
- Strong leadership skills goal-orientated strong timemanagementand organizational skills
- Working knowledge of non-Otissoftware as well as preferred experience with current and vintage Otis and non-Otisproducts
