About the Role:

Were looking for a passionate and experienced OH (HR) Generalist with strong experience in the talent recruitment and workforce field to join our Organizational Health (HR) team.

The OH Generalist Talent & Workforce role plays a vital role in bringing our people-centric talent and workforce philosophy to life. By partnering with hiring leaders to attract select and onboard exceptional talent this role helps ensure our workforce is equipped engaged and aligned with our mission to serve Montanans across the state. Leading a thoughtful relationship-driven talent acquisition strategy this role helps build a with high-performing organization were employees feel connected supported and empowered to do meaningful work for employers and injured workers across the state.

Reporting to the OH Manager this is a true OH (HR) generalist position with a primary focus on Talent & Workforce recruitment and support of our People Relations & Process function while contributing and maintaining working knowledge across all areas of Organizational Health (HR).

Required Skills

What you will do:

Talent & Workforce (Primary Focus): Lead and support all talent acquisition and onboarding efforts including recruitment and selection. Conduct job classification and analysis to ensure alignment with organizational needs. Partner with executive staff and stakeholders in building the talent pipeline to meet current and future business needs. Embed strong talent practices that ensure the delivery of exceptional customer experience.

People & Process: Lead and support people related issues and processes serving as a trusted advisor on complex and sensitive people matters. Serve as a subject matter expert on company policies and procedures including regular policy review ensuring consistent culturally aligned and legally compliant application. Provide leader and employee coaching related to performance concerns expectations and accountability supporting leaders in navigating difficult conversations and addressing performance issues. Partner with leaders to proactively address workplace issues and support a healthy high-performing environment that enables employees to best serve our customers.

Program & Project Management: Every OH Generalist leads and contributes to significant OH department projects and enterprise-wide initiatives from conception to completion. Responsibilities include defining project scope developing timelines managing resources collaborating across teams ensuring stakeholder buy-in managing communications and driving successful delivery within established parameters. Generalists act as strategic partners who balance design and execution apply data insights and ensure projects are aligned with organizational strategy and directly support a superior customer experience.

Culture & Employee Experience:Lead and contribute to enterprise-wide culture-building and engagement efforts including survey administration results analysis and the development and implementation of action plans. Lead the employee engagement program and the performance programs ensuring clear expectations meaningful feedback and growth- and engagement-focused performance practices.Partner with leaders and teams to build and sustain a high-engagement culture. Oversee the execution and planning of culturally aligned company events that foster connection belonging recognition and shared purpose.By strengthening the employee experience ensure employees are well equipped and positioned to deliver exceptional customer experience.

Total Rewards and Safety:Own and support key OH programs related to compensation retirement safety relocation wellness and benefits. Utilize data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of these programsidentifytrends and make data-driven recommendations. Support efforts and programs related to workplace safety andwell-being andsupport internal workers compensation and safety initiatives. Lead and contribute to significant OH department projects and enterprise-wide initiatives including defining scope timelines resources and success measures.Apply disciplined project management practices to ensure OH efforts are effectively prioritized aligned with organizational strategy and delivered effectively.

Learning & Development:Design drive and lead effective learning development initiatives tailored to the organizations strategic operational and cultural needs.Support workforce and succession planning efforts to strengthen leadership continuity and long-term organizational capability. Provide leader and employee coaching focused on growth capability development and effectiveness in role. Partner with leaders to strengthen individual team and leadership effectiveness.

Required Experience

What you will need (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field and a minimum of four (4) years of directly related human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred:

  • Professional certifications such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Job location: This position requires a frequent regular on-site presence in the Helena MT office.

Compensation and Benefits: Starting salary for this exemptposition begins at $79500-$99300 per year.
