Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Submerged Arc (Sub Arc) Welder to join a growing fabrication shop in Northeast Tulsa. This Sub Arc role involves welding structural steel components while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The Sub Arc position is ideal for a welder experienced in structural steel fabrication and production shop environments.
Requirements
Previous Sub Arc welding experience required
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
Strong attention to detail and weld quality
Ability to pass a weld test
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift bend and work in a shop environment
Responsibilities
The Sub Arc role includes the following duties:
Perform Submerged Arc welding on structural steel components
Read and interpret blueprints weld symbols and job specifications
Set up and operate Sub Arc welding equipment
Inspect welds to ensure quality strength and compliance with specifications
Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work collaboratively with fitters welders and supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
Structural steel welding experience
Experience in a production or fabrication shop
Familiarity with overhead crane operation (a plus)
