This is a newly created role for a Senior Audio AI Scientist to join a company at the forefront of audio AI and machine learning helping them to drive research and product development for their state-of-the-art audio AI systems and solutions.
Working at the intersection of acoustic simulation audio machine learning and signal processing youll shape how modern AI systems are trained and evaluated working closely with R&D and Product teams to push the boundaries of whats possible in audio AI.
Its a key role in a successful and growing company well suited to an experienced Audio Research Scientist who enjoys working on some of the most challenging problems in audio AI and synthetic audio data.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyse audio AI algorithms across speech enhancement and detection beamforming and sound event detection
- Carry out experiments to determine how acoustic data effects ML performance
- Define and maintain benchmarks and evaluation methodologies for modern audio AI systems
- Publish high-quality technical content whitepapers and research that demonstrate and communicate state-of-the-art results
- Work closely with product and R&D teams to develop simulation and data generation capabilities for ML use cases
- Collaborate with B2B / enterprise customers to help them solve audio AI challenges and achieve better performance
- Act as a senior technical voice and thought leader both within the company and in the wider audio AI community
Requirements
- Significant industry experience developing and deploying audio AI systems
- Deep expertise in one or more areas of audio AI and audio signal processing
- Strong understanding of audio datasets and evaluation methodologies
- MSc or PhD in machine learning audio signal processing applied mathematics acoustics or related
- Strong programming skills in Python and modern ML frameworks
- Experience working with synthetic or simulated data for ML
- Familiarity with multi-microphone systems spatial audio or acoustic simulation
- Track record of published research or widely adopted technical contributions
